The artist portrays a diversity of feline natures, merging their likenesses with flowers, waves, foliage, and clouds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>N\u00e2m&#8217;s characters are playfully anthropomorphized, donning patterned kimonos and hair ornaments. Famed artists like Hokusai or Hiroshige focused on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thisiscolossal.com\/2021\/07\/hokusai-hiroshige-woodblock-prints\/\">woodblock printing<\/a> and painting to represent scenes from history, folk tales, kabuki actors, flora and fauna, landscapes, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For N\u00e2m, ukiyo-e provides the starting point for exploring a range of subject matter. He&#8217;s currently exploring ideas for further illustrations that incorporate different animals and visual cultures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Find more on the artist&#8217;s <a
